NAAAPI
thanks its many members and supporters who recognize the dire
need to bring about increased health awareness in communities
that are hard-hit by the scourges of alcohol and tobacco use.
We are a 501(c) 3, not for profit corporation whose funding
comes from foundations, governmental support and individual
contributions, like yours.
Make
a real difference. Send your donation in your name or on behalf
of someone whose life has been ill affected by substances
that are undermining African American communities. These are
deadly substances that contribute to poor health, violence,
community & family instability and crime.
There
are four levels of yearly contributions:
Visionary : $1$49 donation
Enlightened: $50$99 donation
Radiant: $100$249 donation
Luminary: $250 and above
Your
name/organization will be prominently acknowledged in upcoming
national publications and at special events.
In
considering your pledge, recognize that tobacco-related disease
is the number one preventable cause of death in this nation.
Each year, more African Americans die from diseases caused
by smoking than from car crashes, AIDS, homicide, cocaine,
heroin and other drugs put together.
Also,
remember that low-income Black communities statistically have
excessive numbers of bars and establishments that sell liquor.
Greater access leads to the tendency for greater use, particularly
among our nation's impressionable young people.
YOUR
CONTRIBUTION TO NAAAPI WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE as we continue
to succeed in reducing the impact of the tobacco and alcohol
industries throughout the United States by eliminating products
targeted to African Americans.

NAAAPI bring about significant and meaningful changes in the
tobacco and alcohol control environment.
